The Whatcom Housing Alliance is thrilled to announce the Adaptive Reuse Design Competition. We invite designers to reimagine existing buildings as vibrant and functional housing that will serve the growing NW Washington community.
From duplexes to triplexes and beyond, this competition challenges participants to creatively transform underused or aging structures into innovative, community-oriented homes. Submissions should showcase practical, sustainable, and inspiring solutions that breathe new life into familiar spaces while addressing the region’s growing need for diverse housing options.
