Should Whatcom County Explore an Office of Healthy Housing? We Want Your Input
Whatcom County is exploring a big question: Would a countywide Office of Healthy Housing be helpful or even necessary? Right now, no decisions have been made. This feasibility study will find out if such an office would address real needs in our community.
That’s why we want to hear from the people who know rental housing best—renters, landlords, and property managers.
This study, commissioned by Whatcom County on behalf of the Washington State Department of Commerce, is looking into whether a new office could play a meaningful role in improving rental housing health and safety, supporting education for tenants and landlords, or addressing other rental housing challenges. But again, this is just a study—not a final plan and your feedback will help determine whether this idea moves forward, changes shape, or is set aside.
