City Council meetings, special meetings, work sessions, and committee meetings are open to the public. The Bellingham City Council Regular Meeting begins on scheduled Mondays at 7 pm with a virtual meeting. During a regular council meeting, you may:

  • Listen and watch
  • Present a new issue or raise a concern under the “Public Comment Period” section of the agenda and;
  • Speak during a public hearing
  • Attending a Bellingham City Council meeting is a great way to get involved! The City Council is the legislative body, responsible for setting public policies, adopting long-range plans, approving the budget and taxes, and passing laws.
